
In the neighboring region, in the steppe zone, I constantly see different types of seagulls.

Namely, black-headed gulls (Chroicocephalus ridibundus), and a special local species - Baraba steppe gulls (Larus (heuglini) barabensis).

Moreover, these birds can be found even in the courtyards of the nearest city. They rummage through garbage dumps, rob pigeons and simply rest on the roofs of houses.

In my city, seagulls generally live exclusively near the river; they are timid and do not fly into the city.

Around August, you can see huge flocks of them resting on the river islands. From a distance, they look like foam balls.
