πŸ¦‰ The Eurasian jay (Garrulus glandarius brandtii )

  • Garrulus lat.: garrire to chat, babble, chirp, garrulus talkative, chirping, noisy; ax prone to..
  • glandarius glandis, glans (lat.) acorn
  • brandtii brandti, Fedor Fedorovich Brandt (Johann Friedrich von Brandt, 1802–1879), Russian zoologist and physician.

It is not often that I manage to meet these beautiful corvids. As a rule, they appear in the surrounding forests of my city around October. And it is at the end of October or the beginning of November that I manage to meet them most often.
These birds have their own voices similar to crows, but the bird is also able to imitate the voices of other birds. Which has repeatedly deceived me.

The bird is extremely useful! When it is full, it stores food for future use, but does not remember them all, and then the forgotten seeds and nuts sprout and new trees grow from them.
And yes, the Siberian subspecies of jays is the most beautiful! Bright red colors on the head.

Cool πŸ‘ŒπŸ¦Šβ˜•πŸ˜‹ ... I've been trying to get a picture of them, but whenever I get close they disappear into hiding, their voices are very loud and heard from afar πŸ‘ŒπŸ¦Šβ˜•
