🦉 The Eurasian tree sparrow (Passer montanus)
- Passer (lat.) sparrow
- montanus lat .: mōns, montis - mountain, mountain range, montanus - mountain

These guys are close relatives of all the familiar house sparrows that we are used to seeing in the city.
They are slightly different in appearance: a brown cap on the head, white cheeks with dark spots, and overall more contrasting plumage colors. And by the way, they have no visible sexual dimorphism.

With the arrival of cold weather, they fly into the city and join the flocks of house sparrows. Therefore, it is not surprising to see them in a common flock.
In my city, these guys live on the outskirts, for example, on the bank of a river where many bushes grow, or in various small villages near the city. Not long ago, in the old days, they were called "village sparrows".
