The mallard or wild duck (Anas platyrhynchos)

In autumn, I often see small flocks of these ducks near the river. They swim on it, find food.

And this is already a family flock . I saw them on a small lake, on dried rocks. Young ducklings basked on the sun and cleaned their feathers.

And this large flock of sparrows descended from the bushes to a small stream to drink.

This species of sparrows lives on the outskirts of the city, where the coastal zone is full of bushes. And with the onset of winter, they can be seen in the city.

And these sandpipers can be seen in the autumn, when they are already flying to warm countries. They always stop to rest on a shallow river, or rather on stones.

And in this photo, a flock of starlings flies away from us to where it is warm. There were many of them, but they were very high and far away, so I had to take a crop photo so that I could see that these were starlings and not some flying dots.

Well, these cuties are almost always in flocks, and it is extremely rare to see them alone. Here in this photo they sat on thin twigs. Thanks to their low weight of 8 grams, they can do it.
