🦉 The common grasshopper warbler (Locustella naevia)
📚 Locustella (lat.) from "locusta" - grasshopper; cricket
📚 naevia naevius lat .: naevus spot, naevius spotted

This is a rather rare guest in our city. But sometimes I meet these birds. To be more precise, he lives in the meadows on the very outskirts of the city. Usually he likes to run on the ground, where he looks for food for himself, which is made up of spiders, snails, insect larvae. In these photos, he saw that I was approaching and jumped out of the grass, sat on the plant.
He got his name "cricket" for the song, which is similar to the sounds of the insect of the same name.

🦉 The Siberian stonechat or Asian stonechat (Saxicola maurus)
📚 Saxicola (lat ): saxum rock, stone, -cola inhabitant
📚 maura (lat.): Moorish, black
Well, this friend was nearby. Many of these birds live in these places. And while the female was looking for material for the nest, the male protected her and watched the dangers in the form of me and birds of prey.
