π¦ The long-tailed tit or long-tailed bushtit (Aegithalos caudatus)
π Aegithalos (Greek): tit
π caudatus (lat.): tailed
In general, it is worth saying that genetically these birds do not belong to the tit (Paridae) family. This is a completely different genus and family (Aegithalidae).
But out of habit they are called long-tailed tits. Although in my country everyone is slowly forgetting this name and more and more often they are called - "ladle", for their resemblance to this kitchen appliance.
Birds are very cute and charming both in appearance and behavior.
They live in small family flocks. If the nesting period came out early, and the couple has time and is ready for the second laying, then the first-born will help feed their younger brothers and sisters. Sometimes they are helped by couples who for some reason do not have their fledglings.
