🦉 The common whitethroat or greater whitethroat (Sylvia /Curruca communis)
📚 Sylvia lat.: silva forest, sylvania forest nymph, sylvia forest fairy
📚 Curruca unidentified bird name mentioned in the poems of the ancient Roman poet Juvenal
📚 communis (lat.) ordinary, common, general

This gray bird is smaller than a sparrow, but when you meet it it does not seem so. Especially when the bird lifts the feathers on her head.
These birds arrive already when there is vegetation on the trees and the ground.
Like all birds of this family, it is a typical inhabitant of dense thickets and shrubs.
After arrival, the male begins to build a nest, and at the same time actively sing songs. And of course, for this, he crawls out to the tops of bushes or individual branches so that he can be seen. At these moments, you can even slowly and gently approach him closer.
