🦉 The spotted nutcracker, Eurasian nutcracker, or just nutcracker (Nucifraga caryocatactes macrorhynchos)
📚 Nucifraga Latin: nux - walnut, frangere - to smash, crush
📚 caryocatactes Greek: karyon - walnut, katagnumi - crush
📚 macrorhynchos Greek: macros large, long, rhynkhos beak
Oh, and it was not easy for me to take these photos! Hearing a sonorous buzzing croak, I went in the direction of this sound and saw this bird. She immediately flew up onto a branch, and then completely flew away, frightened.
I followed in the same direction. But this time I was careful and moved slowly without making any noise. Arriving at the place where this bird was, I tried not to move, and it flew from tree to tree, looking at me. And eventually she got used to me.
After that, she again returned to her affairs on earth. Namely, she hid pine nuts.
When a bird is not hungry, she stores food. However, then she either forgets about it, or she does not need them because of the abundance of food. And you know, thanks to this, nuts sprout in the ground and new trees appear in the future!
