Here are some bird shots I got this weekend for #featheredfriday by @melinda010100
The red-winged blackbirds are everywhere pairing up and nesting.
This male red-wing is super mad at me. I'm not sure why...
Oh now I know why, his girlfriend was right by me feet in the reeds probably staking out a nesting spot.
The song sparrows are hiding out in the twigs.
But the males are out on the top branches belting out their fancy songs.
There must have been something dead nearby.
There were a bunch of these turkey vultures flying around in a circle above me. Maybe they were just catching the breeze.
This buzzy little chickadee flew right by me and landed on a branch next to my head.
He was picking at something he caught.
Looks like he got an insect.
Here is my typical test robin for the time I was out shooting.
Finally I saw my first spring turtle out bathing in the sun. I'll keep an eye out for the hatchlings next month.
Happy #featheredfriday :-)
What a variety of birds! I loved the photos. Every little feathered friend is beautiful. Also the turtle is gorgeous, just missing the wings! 😁
Soon there will be hundreds of turtles out sunning every morning.
Very cool nature photos, I was happy to see them :) Thank you!!
Hopefully this year I will be able to catch one of the hatchling turtles for some macro photos.
Sounds very good :) ... I be soon back then :)
maybe a picture of it biting my hand as I catch it will be posted lol
Thanks @ackhoo :-)
Wow. Some beautiful shots right there! ❤️
Fortunately the leaves are fully grown in yet so it's a bit easier to get the birds out on a branch.
Terrific shots, well done! That first ed-winged blackbird shot is perfection!
They are too busy trying to defend their territory to fly away, it lets you align and take a shot easier.
Incredible your image.
There are not many words for your picture.
It's so perfect.
Bright sunny days are made for perfect photos.
Yeah.
It was perfect.
Great photos!👍 vultures is gorgeous!
I wish I could of got them in their spiral formation but it was too far away for my zoom. There were at least 10 of them flying in a circle.
