Siempre es bueno comenzar nuevas aventuras y desde que había salido Zenless Zone Zero, había escuchado puras críticas negativas y demás opiniones que de alguna forma desviaron mi atención de probar el juego. ZZZ es de los mismos creadores de Genshin Impact y Star Rail, juegos que, a pesar de ser gacha, considero que lo vienen haciendo bastante bien. Dejando a un lado la crítica, decidí aventurarme en este nuevo juego y lo he disfrutado por completo y aquí quiero contarte al respecto.
It's always good to start new adventures and since Zenless Zone Zero had been released, I had heard a lot of negative reviews and other opinions that somehow diverted my attention from trying the game. ZZZ is from the same creators of Genshin Impact and Star Rail, games that, despite being gacha, I consider that they have been doing quite well. Criticism aside, I decided to venture into this new game and I have enjoyed it completely and here I want to tell you about it.
Para darte contexto sobre la historia del juego, la aventura se desarrolla en un mundo que ha sido destruido en parte por anomalías y monstruos, algo que me recuerda muchísimo al anime de Solo Leveling. En esta aventura somos un proxy, una persona que se encarga de explorar las anomalías y contribuir de cierta manera con la resistencia que queda. Por supuesto que en este proceso se van a ir sumando personajes y ya aquí entra lo gacha del juego.
To give you some context about the game's story, the adventure takes place in a world that has been partly destroyed by anomalies and monsters, something that reminds me a lot of the Solo Leveling anime. In this adventure we are a proxy, a person who is in charge of exploring the anomalies and contribute in some way with the remaining resistance. Of course, in this process we will be adding characters and this is where the gacha of the game comes in.

Una de las cosas que me encanta del juego es que está dividido en diferentes modos, por así decirlo. No es el típico juego donde controlamos al personaje que tiene todos los poderes y se va a explorar todo el mundo. En ZZZ, por un lado, estaremos usando al protagonista en los diferentes entornos de la ciudad y siendo el proxy y resolviendo problemas de la ciudad y, por otro lado, iremos a las batallas a limpiar las anomalías con los otros personajes que se van sumando a la aventura. Desde mi punto de vista, esto hace que ZZZ sea un juego de aventura, rol y Hack and Slash.
One of the things I love about the game is that it's divided into different modes, so to speak. It's not the typical game where we control the character who has all the powers and goes off to explore the whole world. In ZZZ, on the one hand, we will be using the protagonist in the different environments of the city and being the proxy and solving problems in the city and, on the other hand, we will go to battles to clean up anomalies with the other characters that are joining the adventure. From my point of view, this makes ZZZ an adventure, role-playing and Hack and Slash game.

El tema artístico y de diseño es uno de los elementos que más me gusta del juego. Hay elementos urbanos al estilo pop, con entornos asiáticos y futuristas. Es una mezcla bastante rara, pero que a mi gusto me ha encantado. Para que tengas una idea, parte del juego es atender una tienda de videoclub, con películas en VHS. Ya ese tema es de culto y le da un toque diferente al juego. Los artefactos que se equipan a los personajes, para mejorar sus estadísticas, son CD de música. Pero al mismo tiempo hay robots controlados por inteligencia artificial.
The art and design theme is one of the elements I like most about the game. There are pop-style urban elements, with Asian and futuristic environments. It's a rather odd mix, but one that I loved. To give you an idea, part of the game is running a video store, with VHS movies. Already that theme is cult and gives a different touch to the game. The artifacts that are equipped to the characters, to improve their stats, are music CDs. But at the same time there are robots controlled by artificial intelligence.

Es toda una mezcla cultural que me gusta, me hace pensar que estoy en el pasado, pero al mismo tiempo en el futuro. En la ciudad hay un puesto de comida tradicional, pero quien prepara la comida tiene unos brazos extras mecánicos. Son esos los detalles que me hicieron conectar con el juego rápidamente y también que la historia trascurre de una manera divertida y si solo quieres es ir directo a las batallas, está el muy agradecido botón de saltar todo jajaja.
It is a cultural mix that I like, it makes me think that I am in the past, but at the same time in the future. In the city there is a traditional food stall, but the person who prepares the food has extra mechanical arms. These are the details that made me connect with the game quickly and also that the story runs in a fun way and if you just want to go straight to the battles, there is the very grateful button to skip everything hahaha.

Si bien el juego tiene muchísimas cosas importantes, el sistema de batalla es uno de los principales e incluso la esencia del juego. Las batallas son frenéticas, rápidas, donde esquivar o hacer un parry es vital para lograr los objetivos. Los personajes cuentan con diferentes habilidades y elementos, que harán de la batalla todo un espectáculo de acción y diversión, o por lo menos lo es para mí. También disfruto mucho lis juegos de peleas de este estilo y eso hace busque mejorar para lograr todos los retos, aun siendo yo un jugador freetoplay.
Although the game has many important things, the battle system is one of the main ones and even the essence of the game. The battles are frenetic, fast, where dodging or parrying is vital to achieve the objectives. The characters have different skills and elements, which will make the battle a whole show of action and fun, or at least it is for me. I also really enjoy fighting games of this style and that makes me look for improvement to achieve all the challenges, even though I am a freetoplay player.

Un elemento que no puedo dejar de mencionar son los bangbu. Mi obsesión por coleccionar cosas me hace querer tenerlos todos. Podría decir que son como criaturas robóticas, que recuerdan mucho a los rabbits de Rayman o a los minions. Los bangbu hacen sonidos así raros que no se entienden y los hay de diferentes formas. Aparte de ser lindos y divertidos, cada uno de estos bangbu potencia habilidades de los personajes o hacen cierta acción que supondrá una ventaja en las batalla, ya que se puede seleccionar qué bangbu llevar. Estos pequeñitos están vinculados a todo lo que se hace en el juego, así que se agradece.
One thing I can't fail to mention are the bangbu. My obsession for collecting things makes me want to have them all. I could say that they are like robotic creatures, very reminiscent of Rayman's rabbits or minions. The bangbu make weird sounds that you don't understand and they come in different shapes. Aside from being cute and funny, each of these bangbu power up characters' abilities or perform certain actions that will give them an advantage in battle, as you can select which bangbu to wear. These little guys are linked to everything you do in the game, so that's appreciated.

En la ciudad hay una tienda con máquinas árcades de videojuegos y la tienda se llama El Dedo de Dios. En esta tienda se puede jugar a diferentes minijuegos en solo o con amigos y eso le da un plus extra que me encanta. Es algo muy de los 80, y me parece un acierto el que lo incluyeran en el juego. Es parte de lo que mencionaba al inicio, hay muchos elementos de culto que de alguna forma no queremos dejar ir, pero la tecnología está ahí empujando fuertemente.
In the city there is a store with arcade video game machines and the store is called El Dedo de Dios (God's Finger). In this store you can play different mini-games alone or with friends and that gives you an extra plus that I love. It's something very 80's, and I think it's a good thing that they included it in the game. It's part of what I mentioned at the beginning, there are many cult elements that somehow we don't want to let go, but technology is there pushing hard.

Zenless Zone Zero es un juego que estoy disfrutando, se adapta a mis gustos y no hace falta estar recorriendo grandes distancias para vivir una aventura. Yo disfruto explorar mapas gigantes en los juegos, pero a veces es necesario descansar y solo entrar al juego a luchar y drenar energías. Ahora solo queda seguir avanzando y ver hasta dónde me lleva esta aventura.
Zenless Zone Zero is a game that I am enjoying, it suits my tastes and I don't need to be traveling long distances to experience an adventure. I enjoy exploring giant maps in games, but sometimes it is necessary to rest and just enter the game to fight and drain energy. Now I just have to keep moving forward and see where this adventure takes me.
