Too much activities? - Do you feel you need a clone sometimes?

in ThoughtfulDailyPost2 years ago (edited)

A couple of days before writing this post was filled with a lot of activities for me, I felt left out of other activities while I dearly embraced others hugging them tight and basking in the good memories they offered.

For me it was a week and weekend of activities, I had to multitask and even at that I still ended up leaving something's undone and untouched.

Too much activities can stop one from being focused, for me I did one and lossed attention to the other.

One of the most important activity was my Passing out Parade from the National Youth Service Corps here in Nigeria. As it is known worldwide Passing out Parades is always a joyful and fun-filled event or activity.

This was more than just an activity it was a mark of an accomplishment and a step higher as I chase my dreams. Although my service only lasted for one year it was an eventful one, the year I met Hive, Lived on my own for the first time, paid my own bills and many more things I count as feats.

Then it was over last week with a resounding salute to the governor and cheers from family and friends as we trooped out of the arena.

Sadly, I couldn't keep up with Hive and all these activities, I couldn't write even when I found the time to do so, I kept postponing my time especially with the #HiveNaija Contest.

This post is more like a shot of adrenaline to my hands as it will be a start of my writing once again. As I had to plan my travel back home from my state of deployment, It was stressful packing, carrying those memories only in pictures and hugs with colleagues and with a promise of hanging out soon. I think I left my will or drive to write behind haha not really I'm writing now.

Suddenly, the Hardfork came along, I barely felt it as I was rarely active during the period, only jousts from discord reminded me of the all important activity that could impact the running of the Blockchain.

I got scared also hearing about the term "Hardfork" because I remember how I was told on @theterminal of how Hive came into existence in the first place and all my thoughts where like, ok this is it Hive is going.

I'm still to get more as to why the Hardfork was done and what benefits we all stand to get by it and if there's going to be more along the way.

I think @hiveio should talk more about the individual changes that would be made and the benefits for newbies like me on Hive.

I'll do a full post about my one year experience serving my country soon. So don't stay too far from my blog posts haha.

How do you come back to writing frequently after a time of lethargy? How do you manage activities in your life with that of Hive?. Do you need a clone of yourself?. Share some hints for a newtsy like me in the comments below.

Congratulations on your POP, I can tell how tiring it must have made you. Sorry, you had to go through all those stress. And yes most times, I wish I had a clone.

I wish I had one too, doing all the hard work.

The saying that once you leave something, it leaves you is soo accurate lol.
Like you, I had to take a break from hive for some time cuz of personal reasons. The break I took wasn't an overly long one but I'm still trying to align my body and mind to get used to this being normal all over again. I still haven't made any posts since my return, I'm just tryna ease into it by engaging and catching up with everything I missed. I have no doubt I'll be back to normal in no time.
It isn't always easy for me to find balance between hive and my life off hive but I still manage somehow.
I'm in desperate need of a clone lol. Having one will make my life a whole lot easier and I'd be able to give attention to everything I'm doing without missing out on any. But...seeing as this isn't possible I still have to go on and hope I don't burn out or give up cuz of how overwhelming it can all seem.

Welcome back and congrats on completing your NYSC🤗❤️

Thank you @kamarah . I find that I'm gradually coming back and making more efforts to keep my blog renewed. I think readjustment takes a bit of time and could well be a crossroad between giving up and continuing. Thanks for this lovely comment.

You have a wonderful smile @buezor! It was cool seeing all of the excitement on your last day :)

As far as the fork, it happens periodically from what I understand, the developers have to update the coding every so often to keep things running smooth! As of right now Hive is fully decentralized with no one strong enough to influence it- which is what went wrong with steemit. So, breathe easy, no danger here :)

The things in the fork that will help new people are- RC delegations, and all votes pay out now (no more dust threshold).

As far making time for hive... I have no idea, I think mom superpowers lol- I'll lend you some of mine 🤣

I could use a lot of that mom superpowers of yours even if I'm no dad and I don't plan on switching genders anytime.

allotting time to activities is something many people do without conscious thought. making decisions to buy time from one thing to use on another takes active participation in life, and not allowing it to happen without exerting effort

Ok, so it's more like being actively involved in how the time is spent rather than passively watching it been used with conscious control.

A clone? I feel like I need 5 versions of myself.
But i think that where time mangement comes in .

Wow, the passing out parade must be really overwhelming and it's totally understandable why you ended up procrastinating after all you just wanted to do that one and know you are free from it.
