The water was pouring on the ground as the GP tank was filled that even after fetching about two buckets and two rubbers of water,I discovered that it was still pouring away.
Some hours later,I accompanied someone to the same tank,lo and behold!the water had finished and we had to wait for another refilling of the tank to enable us get some water.
Some people are like that tank. As soon as they get refilled spiritually, academically or in any area of life that they can't contain it or feel that they are overfilled, they relax and stop making effort.
They discover that they don't have need to pray, read, exercise etc before miracles will take place, before ugly circumstances will change, before a good speech will be made, before trophies will be awarded because the oil of anointing to carry out any of the aforementioned actions is too much on them or they are enjoying excessive grace as a result of refilling by previous prayers or supplications and efforts, hence, complacency.
They relax, thinking that it will keep working that way without constant refilling and so at some point when the accumulated anointing, knowledge, strength had been exhausted, they still embark on spiritual, academical, professional journey or exercise, and come back disappointed.
We must keep pressing on. In the various areas of specializations,we must keep getting all information and updating ourselves in those areas. Do not say ' I have known it all or got it all' for no one is an encyclopedia of knowledge. Do not keep people or problems waiting because of your complacency.
Let your spiritual life, well of knowledge not get dried because of your inconsistency. Refilling is a daily act. May we be constantly filled to fill others.
