Beautiful reintroduction post ! :)
When I wrote my introduction post, I didn't share any personal details either, but always put a little in between in comments and posts when I felt more confident.
In a German post, I also strongly criticized the fact that people upload photos of themselves on crypto. In doing so, I questioned what crypto means, and it is supposed to serve privacy and anonymity. This is a real value that is given to us on Hive, but nobody appreciates this value of privacy anymore.
And because I noticed, like you, that you get more votes than those who don't show themselves. One of the things that bothers me is the self-promotion, which you can also do on other platforms such as Instagram. I think this is a false incentive given to us on Hive by people whose vote is worth more.
I also questioned why people want to use Hive at all.
And for me, it's the storage of important old knowledge, because posts can NEVER be deleted! and contact with people who inspire me :)
Nevertheless, I like to see the craftsman behind his art. Because in the being of the person, how he looks and works, you give the self-made a greater value. and with what care, mindfulness he devotes himself to his powers, to making a beautiful object that you like to have around you.
everyone finds different ways to present themselves or what they like and should be allowed to express themselves. and that's what hive is good for! here is no censorship.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment! I totally understand why people value their privacy and wish not to share their image. It was a big transition for me to move from not showing my face online at all to appearing on ever post, or mostly. But I do not think lesser of others for not showing their faces, probably they are better off!
I totally agree with you that a great thing about Hive is the storage of important information. For that reason I try to share about how to make crafts, herbal profiles and that sort of thing more than the personal details of my life.
