Self Growth & Discovery (90 Day Challenge) Week 12 Final Week!!!

Here it is, the end of 90 days...

I honestly don't really know what to say, but I am proud of myself. It hasn't been an easy journey, and many things have happened within 90 days. It has been a bittersweet journey, and a part of me has changed. But know that this isn't the end of the 90 days. Every 90 days I'll embark on a new adventure.

If you have been following my journey, thank you so much for the encouragement, wishes, feedback, and any kind of support. They truly mean a lot to me.

So, in 90 days, I have

  • Lost 18 Pounds.
  • Read one book a week or sometimes more, but there are 12 books total.
  • I consistently drink 2lt of water daily.
  • I consistently work out.
  • My confidence is increased.
  • I no longer alienate myself.
  • I am taking more risks and willing to experience life again.
  • Once again, I am less bitter about the world in general.

When I first started, I wanted to focus on four things: reading, working out, studying, drinking 2 litres of water, and maintaining a personal blog. Though these are quite unquantitative, and perhaps there's no fixed goal, they are the first phase of developing a better mindset.

As much as I was learning to be productive, my mind wasn't in the right frame. I didn't have the mindset that I have fostered now. Rock bottom is truly a fascinating place, and digging our way up is tough, but when you keep telling yourself to just go on, I see the kind of light I used to see. I know the journey is still long, but at least I am in a different place and spot than I used to be.

Through reading, I found my long-lost love. I used to read because it was expected of me, but reading because of my own will was refreshing. It is refreshing to be able to think without having something forced onto me. I can interpret any work in the way I see fit without having to adhere to a certain set of rules if I am not politically correct enough. For a while, reading was a breeze, and I loved it again.

I've been studying a little bit of everything, which is why, in the next 90 days, I know what I truly want. I want to get a CompTIA security certification and will do whatever it takes to get that one. The good thing is that now I know a bit of everything and can prepare more seriously for it.

The things I've been doing these last 90 days are preparing me for anything that lies ahead. I have more mental toughness than I had before. It may look simple, but when you've managed to ward off negative self-talk and everything else, you become a new person. You start believing in yourself once again, and you're ready to face any challenge that lies ahead.

This is the list of the 90 Days in terms of weeks you might be interested in. This is my journey, and it is not easy that I have reached this point today.

The next 90 days

The following 90 days are some aspects of my life I am trying to do. You can see in this tracker that I also want to learn Korean. Honestly, it was really out of the blue because, for someone who watches Korean drama all the time, I was compelled to be able to read Hangul and understand it more. I can understand the spoken words and communicate, but my reading still needs to improve. I usually practice talking to random Korean strangers for 25-30 minutes in Tandem, and I can understand them well. They want to learn English, and I want to brush up on my Korean skills. Who knows, by 90 days, I get to be in South Korea?

I also include a house project here. I have been putting off so many things at home, and I want to bring a new look into it. I mean, our roof has fallen, some items need to be discarded, and too many empty rooms need to be fixed. So, for the next 90 days, I will focus on building, renovating and ensuring the house is liveable again. So, I'll also make updates on it weekly. I am doing all these activities for at least an hour/day, and I can make a little progress by the end of the week. Hopefully, in 90 days, my house will look different.

I still include working out because I am still in my goal weight and shape. Although working out these days is relatively instant, I don't have to do some mental gymnastics just to work out. I just work out anywhere and anytime I can. Now, I believe in consistency more than being strict about it. What I mean by this is that it's okay to work out 20-30 minutes and then push it to 60, but you'll quit sooner or later. Some days, when I have extra time, I would do 60-120 minutes, but most days, 30-50 minutes are enough. Sometimes, I also do strength training; they don't require timing but repetition.

What I normally eat vs pigging out

If you ask me just because the 90 days are over and I am back on my usual/past eating habits, you're wrong. I am still eating the same as I was. In fact, I am less interested in sweets and rarely have them. I stick to my meal, which is basically scrambled egg or boiled egg with grilled chicken and some vegetables on the side. I also eat twice/once a day sometimes. This is what I typically eat when I am being strict.

.png

I typically eat this when I am on the loose and want to eat more. My maintenance calorie is around 1800 Calories, so eating 1600-1500 calories is still reasonable given that I also work out. On days when I don't exercise and rest, I typically consume less than 1200 calories, as sometimes I also forget about food, haha.

The 90-day weight chart looks like this. I know sometimes I plateaued, and in the past, I basically quit, but these days, well, in the end, this is what the graphic looks like, and I am happy about it.

So, that's all. It's the end of these 90 days, and I'll see you in my next 90 days...

Nicee. Really clean and efficient record-keeping. And you found a better version of yourself. Next thing, you're in Seoul with your CompTIA cert. 18 pounds is crazy, by the way. Reminds me of Ruri Obama. So when's the next 90-day challenge? You're already loving it.

It's already starting hehe so now I am on to something different. Does Ruri Ohana also do 90 days challenge stuff?

Congratulations on finishing it...✨

Thank you! here's to more 90 days :D

Wow, this is an inspiration. Consistently following through on our goals has a way of strengthening us mentally and boosting our confidence in ourselves.

I'm genuinely happy you found your way out a low place. I wish you even greater progress in this new journey of 90 days🤗

It's still a long journey to go and it's going to get more challenging as well. Wish me luck! 🤗

For me the biggest challenge of that list and that requires more discipline is the drinking 2 L of water per day! I understand the fundaments behind it! But my discipline is so bad with that hehehe. Because you can't chug it at once right? so you need to split through the day these 2 L

I have this massive water bottle that stores up to 2000ml. I have them right next to my table and drink them whenever I can in a day. I mean, you definitely need to split through the day XD drinking them in one sitting is impossible hehe
