I would be happy to get to Europe and travel by train wherever the tracks take me, now that would be a wonderful way to finish off gold chapter of life.
Now I realize the prices are sky high, our currency is worth little to nothing and it is a far way to go... So my heart remains in Africa.

Safer on trains, imagine me driving on the wrong side of the road... I would need the Humvee @galenkp suggested perhaps 😄
That's why I am afraid of driving to England one day, although I would love to make a photo trip there ... thinking of something and forgetting to drive on the "wrong" side of the road 😉
In that case a Humvee would be great - it's so wide that you need both lanes anyway 🤣

Wonder where they change from left to right, right in the middle of the underground tunnel? 😆
Perhaps use trains that is another easy way to travel, or hire a narrow boat and sail through the channels like @scubahead is busy doing.
Then that Humvee all would give you right of way, perhaps that is the answer after all....

That boat looks like it takes up most of the canal would hate to negotiate and oncoming vessel...
most of the waterways there's room for boats to pass each other but there are a few very narrow stretches. The overgrown section that was in one of my recent posts had been cleared when we passed back that way 2 weeks later. Everyone movers at 4mph on the canals so oncoming traffic isn't that scarey ;)
Haha, there must be arrows on the road when you have to change the side 😂
Just for this reason I could imagine going by bus or train to Great Britain ... or rent a Humvee 😉

So the fear factor is driving on the wrong side of the road, train and buses are excellent options.
Thought car takes you into more remote little regions, heck shut your eyes and just drive....

That's the downside of using public transportation - it's harder to get to the remote places for hikes and such. Maybe a bicycle would do a good job, because it's slower and you have more time to think ;) ... a !BEER would definitely be needed 😎

Slowly seeing the countryside and pray no one else is approaching, could be fun!
I would just wait until the one, who comes towards me, turns to a side and then turn to the opposite side ... if he's doing the same, we might have a problem 😂
But I can imagine a journey on such a boat must be very relaxing 🙂
