RE: Sparrow: Surviving The Crash

Sparrows are such dinky little birds to have around, so sorry to learn they are becoming endangered by what we do in our gardens.

During our time under very strict lock down the weeds did just grow for almost 8 weeks, actually the garden thrives better leaving them, small butterflies appeared we had not noticed previously.

You must have put a lot of elbow grease into washing those windows for the sparrow to fly straight into it, it happens sometimes depending on light they just don't appear to realize a window is there.

Lovely photography on your little sparrow @redheadpei

I noticed the same here when the grass doesn’t get cut that so many more bees and butterflies are around.

Since my two cats are always on the window ledge, I noticed marks on the glass and cleaned it inside and out the other day. Now I’ve let the blinds halfway down so no other little critter flies into the glass.

Thanks so much Joan for tip and beer.😊

Accidents do happen, I have never had one die from flying into the window pane normally able to revive and fly again. Enjoy your day and change in season, slowly going into delightful colours in your neck of the woods.
