RE: Only Sorrow Remains: Broken Dreams

Thank you.

There did not seem to have been a fire in the house. It looks as if it was just abandoned with everything left behind. Then, at some point afterward, someone came in and ransacked the place for anything of value, including ripping the pipes and wiring out of the walls for the copper.

Sort:

So sad to hear that @momzillanc. I hate vandalism of any kind. No sense in ransacking a house that empty. I understand people always looking for something free they don't own or work for. Hope the family has long moved on to something their lives were destined to enjoy.

The way the house was just abandoned doesn't seem like the family would have moved on happily. No one leaves behind all their children's clothes and toys for happy reasons. There were at least two children's toys left behind – there were boy's toys and girl's toys in detritus.

And, there's a feeling in the place… a weight of sadness and loss about it all, especially inside the house. The structure and the grounds are littered with children's toys and belongings. There was also an abandoned dog pen and rabbit hutch. And, there was a storage building full of stuff left behind that had also been tumbled and ransacked.

Oh my goodness. So sad. But you know what, we'll never know what happened. The thing I do know is that vagrants and homeless people sometimes live in places like that. I once knew a situation such as that.

But the strange thing is the toys left behind. That's under suspicious circumstances there. Life circumstances can be so unnerving sometimes. I just don't want to think the worse of what could have happened to the family.

Thanks for your engagement. Have a good day.
