I have been thinking how far I had come the past months I have been blogging here. I will say it hasn't been easy to make blogs everyday because of the need for inspiration.

Being consistent here on hive doesn't come alone by daily blogging. Obviously, it's more than that. It goes way as reading blogs of other users and commenting, being active in communities especially on discord and getting to know people. These are things I have been trying to keep up to while moving with my daily life.
I will be glad to use this opportunity to welcome back @beckie96830 who was one of the first few friends I made from The terminal community (redfish rally) when I onboarded into hive. I believe this post might be useful to retain consistency here in Hive. You can visit her welcome back blog here.
I know everyone of us are on Hive basically because of the rewards but putting the rewards on primarily goal will only put you in a short term journey and would not take you anyway. What I have come to know in which newbies also need to also is that there are more things to look for that just the rewards which is the relationship that needs to built between people/communities and yourself.
This is because when the rewards doesn't come, you will remain active because of the people. The truth is if you operate hive like the social media it is, engage with others and get to know people, the rewards will surely come. Things will surely work out and put in place.
Presently I am still in this journey as I speak, which is the journey in remaining consistent and heads up. The journey in having a good relationship with people and communities. A journey to blog consistently on Hive. The task to be on the long term journey. This won't be easy to build but it would surely be a good memory have it is.
Another way of retaining consistency is making goals and recording them. For some time now , I have publishing my goals for each month and always working towards achieving it. This has made me notice the little progress I have made in building my account.
I have noticed the very much increase in the number of comments I get on my posts from friends I have made with here. I will love to mention them which they are @tripode @suffgrace @wolfofnostreet @officialuroga @lauramica @rickardoh @rollinshive and others that I may not remember. This shows a sign in building my account and relationships with others.
I probably think you actually get the whole point of this message. In conclusion to all I have said, you should know
Don't be primary based on Rewards, it doesn't come always especially when you know nobody. It will get you frustrated and will lose focus.
If you are newbies here, your primary aim to build relationships and get to know people it will help so much.
Join different communities, and engage with them, be in search for initiatives and partake in them.
There are a lot more tips listed here from a previous post written by me. You should check it out.
At first when I joined hive, I was concern about the reward, now, I just love the fact I can be appreciated by others and I can also appreciate others for what they. Hive is not just a community, hive is home. Just like you, I'm still trying to engage more in different things, not just posting but trying to know more people and share more ideas. Thanks for this beautiful post bro.
Yeah, that's the thing. When you concern about the rewards, you'll not enjoy your interaction around here but when you start to see it as a way to share your ideas, stories, and engage with others, it's much more pleasant.
Yea that's true. I have made a post that didn't get enough reward, I wasn't bothered because of the little engagement I got. Just enjoy being here.
You are welcome brother. Thanks for commenting. Here's a !tip for you.
Thank you for the tip

Thank you @starstrings01 blessings my brother.
Thank you for the mention my friend, and you are rigth we have all come along these days, thanks to the blogging challeng actually, so we should be proud of us.
Yeah thanks for the bloggingchallenge. I would love this engagement to keep on. How about making a tag we all can be using on our regular post which we will be checking on once a day. The tag should be used in a single post per day or what do you think.
@rollinshive @wolfofnostreet
@jizzyjoe @suffgrace

That´s a great idea!! what about #theblogclub or #smile hahahahaha smile is perfect to me hahahaha
But i thing is better if we just use 1 tag, because if we change it every day, the past ones became obsolete, and maybe one day in a year from now we can just go back and see like 1000 posts with the tag.
We may also consider to do a Discord comunity.
What do you all think?
@cwow2 @starstrings01 @suffgrace @lauramica @macchiata @wolfofnostreet @officialuroga @rollinshive @cosmictriage @buttonn @janettyanez @jizzyjoe @suzn.poudel @martinstomisin @kattycrochet @rickardoh @beckie96830 @josehany
Lol.. thinking 🤔🤔🤔. We can make use of two tags. Thanks for increasing the mentions 😅. !tip

Count me in on the discord community

Estoy de acuerdo con una etiqueta única 😃
https://discord.gg/vJUutm este es el discord que estamos creando.
One tag is better for me, it will be easy to track as long as its one post a day with that tag
@tripode suggested #smile.. nobody is making any suggestion.
I'm thinking we should go with it for now. Let's see how it will play maybe it will yield more engagements in our posts that are not related to blogging challenge only. !tip hide

Okay I go with smile 😁
Lol.. smile it is then 🙂
Will it be used on only the blogging challenge post?
Nooo... This is for your normal posts. Used only once a day. To bring engagement on the post.
Ok
Yea, I will go with one tag for smooth tracking. If we start from two tag, we will see ours adding another tag in the future which will be a lot. Just like @tripode had said, using one tag will help us create a long tread of posts that we can look back on someday. But if changing of tags is still under consideration, I will suggest we do the change of tag twice or thrice a year.
Well said
Well said
This sounds like a great idea, that way, we can keep in touch more with each others post
Yeah, so have any tag suggestions 🤔
#checkme that's just what entered my head 😂😂😂😂
Lol... I think we should do it like this. Let's use month and date.
Like today is 11th of October. So today's tag will be Oct11..
While tomorrow will be Oct12. If we are in Jan, then it will be Jan 12.
You get the point.
What do you guys think?

@jizzyjoe @suffgrace

I get it, I sounds nice to me. As long as it's the first three letters of each month.
This makes sense. .
I'm seating on the fence ooooo anything you guys choose is OK by me
Yea, but hope the tag would be something different from blogging challenge
Smile definitely should be
On bloggingchallenge right?
I agree to it let's roll
I hope you can find your stay better than what I had. It's my first day of returning to blogging, so I have to redeem myself and strive to do better than I did before.
Welcome back to blogging on Hive. Just went through your profile and I saw it has really been a long while.
You are free to come by my blog anytime, I just followed you and thanks for commenting. Here's a !tip for you.
Thank you for welcoming me. It really has been long but I'll get into it one of these days. By the way, I followed you as well since I thought it would be great to follow active bloggers (especially those who followed me). Thanks for the tip!

It touches on several relevant points when it comes to staying active in Hive. We focus on things that we hardly end up attracting. Better to focus on other things that will lead to what you want for yourself, and then enjoy the payoff without blurring from your previous goals. It's a lesson I learned after reading "Rich Dad, Poor Dad," and I try to apply it to all areas of my life, including Hive
I have heard of that novel before but because I have a very lazy ass to read novels, I haven't read it.
Talking about this, the main goal is to aim high rewards on Hive but to get it there are other things you need to attain first which is getting to build connection and relationships with others.
That way, we focus on other things which will lead to the main reason why we are here.
I see the other things as a journey to the destination.
Thanks for your comment brother. !tip hide

Nice post guy, it's really thoughtful of you.
It is one thing to make friends and another to carry them along ; it's very easy to make a thousand friends a day but can you actually cope with that ? Making friends is a serious business and you've got to be ready as long as you want more, they will become your responsibility but it's left to them if they will see or take you the same way.
Just the other day I asked @rollinshive who is this @appreciator and why is he doing all this things he's doing, course I so much admire him and his works, did you know what he said? He is one of the beneficiaries of #hive though they are much but he has been the only one still very active looking at how he goes around upvoting and curating posts and most of the times when people have gone offline, he does it as if it was his responsibility. The name APPRECIATOR really suites him well.
I salute you @appreciator
Yeah, I am actually grateful to @bluemist who runs the appreciator account for seeing this post worthy for his vote. Sincerely, it was least expected and I am glad I won in both ways which is having this kind of engagement on my post and a good reward on it. I bet you don't know how happy I am.
About taking care of friends I make, I am also on it. You check the beneficiaries of this post and some of my other posts: you, @jizzyjoe and @suffgrace are beneficiaries. Doing this to help support you guys also in building your account. If I notice I get rewards often, I would likely increase the percentage beneficiary.
Thanks for the comment bro. Here's a !tip

Nice post man... You see, over the time I have learnt these things and I have been using them mostly if I wanna bring in new people to hive. I don't boast about the rewards. I basically tell them the work involved. The commitment they have to put in or show, which involves reading (and I mean really reading people posts.) not just scrolling through, picking a line or two and add that line to Comment as reference and probably say a word or two on it. I am basically talking of reading the whole posts and understanding what the writer is really trying to pass on.
At times, I read a post on hive twice if I didn't catch the whole point during the first reading. Yea, commenting is another big issue. I was planning to write a post on this myself but not sooner. The way we all see commenting on hive is more like a job to many people. You know, that job that you would wake up in the morning, dress up and go to work. Come back home very stressed and tired and wish there is no wrk the next day cos the passion is not really there and you are just doing it for the money involved. That is the exact way many people here sees commenting.
Most don't comment for the sake of building a long lasting relationship or because a post is making them wow. They just do so for the reward which may involve getting attention or votes and so on. When I scroll through my Facebook page and see the way people comments on post (even lengthy posts) without expecting any rewards - of which they will never get, it amazes me. I will just say to myself "if hive would be like this. It would be lot more fun."
Also, engaging in discussions on other platforms outside hive. Hmmmm🤔pls shift make I confess small🤣 I dey guilty of this one. I swear. But that's just because I am running lots of things that would have taken my attention away from hive if I haven't learnt to love hive and get connected with some people.
I am still talking about the introduction of newbies by me. Lol. I don talk go Sha. But that is just the truth. I will tell them "hive is a place you have your own blog, earn instantly from it without some shitty Google adsense and you have freedom of speech. No one centralization. BUT!!! you will see little or no reward at the beginning (even though they might see much more good results, I prefer having them think they won't) and you will be more involved with the communities than you have ever been in any other social media. Basically speaking bro, you will work your ass out. Get tons of beautiful posts uploaded, which will return with no rewards and no comment. You will get your ass kicked badly like you will cry hard. But hey! You love blogging right? It blogging that is the main deal and not the reward. The ability to share your thoughts to the world and be able to enjoy centralisation. But at the end, with much connection and consistency, you will get there."
I further show them posts. First, I start with lots posts with lots of low rewards..... Especially mine.... Then I will go over to the onea with high rewards and comment. I will only show them three or four of the ones with high rewards. I did this to @rickardoh when I wanted to onboard him and that is why I am not surprised he is still in the game and he is getting stronger.
Yeah, he told me that you onboarded him and seriously he is really trying and I am seeing his handwork.
Presently I am trying to move to sharing my hive contents on reddits. Promoting Hive and my contents on reddits at the same while.
I used to base in onboarding new members on Hive but I stopped because many of the people are not ready for the work involved.
So I have moved my focus to assisting those already onboard. By that way it will get to know more people and build relationships.
You as well are doing really great! You are working really hard even though with your busy life. I am looking up to you boss 🙌🙌🙌
See this man dey call me boss🙄🙄we know how we dey do ham for naija ooo. If we start, this comment thread no go end. So for the sake of international behavior 🤣we both be OG.
Yea, it a good choice you've made by helping those already on board. At least, you are one of the very few Nigerians doing just that.
Reddit will be a very good place to promote contents. I remember once promoting my blog website and YouTube channel there and I got massive return. But it been quite long I had head over to reddit. Maybe I'll go back cos of you. 😏😉
Smile. I haven't used redit before so I don't know much of it but I heard it is great to promote your Hive contents there.

Yea, it will be great
Thank you so much my friend for the mention. It's great to know that I still have a few friends around that can be of help to me.
