There's a lot more nuance to it than just bearing down and throwing into the turns like I can on my downhill bindings. It will take some getting used to having the heel free all the time.

Very true, I never had a nerve to try telemark skiing, but it looks impressive especially down a steep black diamond. Used to watch them at crested Butte Colorado all the time!
