Thanks for the advice! It definitely takes a lot of practice, and I can tell that the more I do, the better I’m getting at reading how the trees will behave. I’m going to try your V-notch face cut technique. Thanks again for the tips!

During the covid times I spent a lot of time watching Bucking Billy Ray's youtube channel and learned A TON about tree felling. I knew a good amount growing up around logging but he is great at showing the nuances and approaches that make things safer and many times easier.
