Hello Everyone!

Trying to get back on track, Cleaning up the mess, The shelving jumble & Finally getting outdoors!

Alright, I did not have it in me to write an entry yesterday... even though I had previously committed myself to at least try to get back on track with my writing routine. For what it is worth, I guess just thinking about doing so to such a degree was more effort than I had put into it in quite a while.

Lately, I have been grappling with so much... that it is a wonder that I even have the wherewithal to do much of anything productive to improve my life so go figure. Realizing just how 'down in the dumps' that I have been feeling... I know that I need to start making some changes somehow but whoa knowing what those changes actually are (and doing them) is a whole other matter.

Anyways, I got up long before dawn like I usually do... and got as much garbage as I could consolidated into bags and hauled them uphill to my big trash can... because it was all taking up way too much room in the tent. It was not anything gross or anything... but I have gotten into the habit of letting empty jelly and peanut butter jars (along with other assorted things) take up way too much 'shelf' space.

As I have said before in previous entries, the only real 'shelving' that I have in the tent is atop the dog crates... and at this point everything is such a jumble that I can hardly ever find what I am looking for amongst all the mess. Occasionally, I consider hauling everything out of the tent and trying to get things organized better... but I always land on the same sentiment of: Why bother!

On a different note, I did manage to get outdoors some today and clean up around my camp... which honestly was not that bad aside from lots of small pieces of tarp that seem to be everywhere. The tarp was pretty much trash to start with when I hung it up late last summer (to help keep the sun off the tent) but now due to the high winds shredding it... I should probably just take it down and get rid of it altogether.

After all the cleanup stuff, I retrieved the few black locust trees in their pots that seem like they survived the winter... and relocated them uphill to a sunnier spot. Over the coming weeks they will hopefully start putting out some fresh leaves... but given how small they were before the winter arrived I think that they will wind up being quite stunted.

Hopefully, in the next month or so I can get up the motivation to start planting more of them... along with a bunch of corn, potatoes and pretty much anything else that I can get seeds for. All things considered it would be rather wise of me to at least attempt to grow as much food as I possibly can... and get that root cellar built long before autumn.

Well on that note, I am all out of words for this entry. I hope that everyone is doing well. Ciao for now.

A grey day.

This is how I felt with my health and after the election but realized I had to pull myself out of it because no one was going to do it for me. I started repotting plants and little by little by staying busy, I am doing better.

Planting a garden, or locust trees and tending to them is a great way to ease the mind.

Remember, YOU DO IT TO YOURSELF.

I love you.
