Man’s Best Friend
I was inspired to write a post by this quote attributed to Sparky Schults, better known as Charles M. Schultz and creator of the Peanuts comic strip, he said:
"Happiness is a warm puppy" --Charles M. Schultz
Dog owners can relate to this truism. It’s really an overall feeling of joy that engulfs the whole room and keeps emanating a bright atmosphere that dogs are called upon to be companions to people with special needs. There have been countless tales and stories told that captures the man-dog connection. It’s a blessing to have one at your side.
Cruelty To Animals…
On the other hand, some people don’t get it; they do bad things to dogs, and other animals, that really put the humanity of human beings into question. I won’t go into detail about these cruel acts, but, hopefully, will just be focusing on the bright side of life for these furry friends.
PACT LAW in the US
Almost 1 year ago, in November 2019, President Trump of the United States signed into law the “Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act”, which bans animal torture and cruelty which made such acts as a felony at the federal level.
This welcome legislation will help federal authorities in going after perpetrators and prosecute criminals even if the act was done on federal property.
Conclusion
As stewards of the planet, striving to better manage and take care of the earth is one of our responsibilities. Among these responsibilities are the humane treatment of animals, especially dogs who contribute much more than a cute face and welcome smile. They participate in police work, the medical profession, education, serve in the military and sit in as part of the family for millions of dog owners worldwide.
My post is up to here. Thank you all for reading. Hoping to build a more compassionate planet, starting with this blog. Saludo!

With winters approach where I live, a warm puppy means a lot. There are a couple of things to think about when posting. When viewing on PeakD front end your post will not show up on your blog page if you do not re-blog it, this is an option so people can have a personal page of just their post and a blogging page where they have their post, (if wanted on the blog page), and post of others that they re-blog.
So what effect does that have and why is it important? When a person clicks on your name to visit your page they land on the blog page. I've gotten used to clicking on the post page when I visit a persons blog from a comment they made, just to see what they have of a social nature. (some of the Bloggers do on occasion make just fun post that are not a part of their blog).
It is difficult at the beginning to catch all the ins and outs, and all the different ways and means to play on Hive, all your post will show when people follow you and you are part of their feed, so the only time someone may miss a post of yours is if they only look at your blog page.
Thanks @bashadow. I get it now. I reblogged already. Have a great day!
You too.
