RE: There's no mental health (issues) in our Family!

I'm speechless after reading this, and just can't comprehend how one can take so many sad events in life. Life is tough, but it's not meant to be shit tough like this. The fact that you are talking about it, hopefully can help not only other people, but also yourself, as often bottling up everything can make things worse.

I'm sorry that you've had so many curve balls thrown at you, and hope that expanding your social circle, both in real life and online here will give you more support. Take care.

Hi,

Thank you for your kind words, it means a lot.

There have been some very good things in my life too, only this week I have helped my Daughter secure a new job and a promotion to boot.

It is these small positives that I try and celebrate.

As for my Parent with Alzheimer's, I have secured NHS CHC funding where all my Parent's costs are paid by the NHS including Care Home fees.

There are numerous websites offering advice on the subject and Solicitors offering their services. I managed it without the Solicitors after attending an Appeal meeting with three nurses, which lasted 3.5 hours. It was a right ol' grilling.

This victory made me feel as though I had defended my Parent and fought for them, winning against the odds.

I wish you well LivingUKTaiwan :)
