Hey, friends!
You know how I usually come by 1x per week to tell you about free events that I am attending or wish to attend, but instead, I am just inviting you to do it when I don't have time?
🙏 I'm here to do it again now. I haven't registered yet, but how amazed I was to see some huge names in this event next to others that barely know what they're talking about.
Don't get me wrong. This event is amazing and free! But I had the chance to work directly with at least one of the speakers and ...I'm still having a good laugh at the fact that some people just talk theory, instead of testing what they're preaching. Nothing negative and dual about it....we all get there somehow, at some point, and taste life with all its flavors.
Let me start differently! More tenderly.
Feeling and expressing our emotions in a healthy, intelligent, and embodied way is essential to our happiness and well-being, our ability to engage in fulfilling relationships, our sense of purpose and satisfaction with our work, and our resilience in the face of challenge. Our emotions make us fully human and allow us to experience beauty and awe. Yet, when emotions become confused, they can become destructive and cause great suffering, in ourselves, for our loved ones, and in the world.
Feel free to join The Awake Network and the Mind & Life Institute in their free 4-day guided exploration of the powerful emotional forces that shape our lives and learn:
- The latest scientific insights on the nature of emotions, stress, and human connection.
- Powerful contemplative practices to transform difficult emotions and cultivate our natural wisdom, compassion, and joy.
- How to harness the power of our emotions to participate in the creation of a more interconnected and compassionate world.
Register for the free online summit, airing May 2-5
You will learn from His Holiness the Dalai Lama and 30+ leading neuroscience and compassion researchers, psychologists, and world-renowned meditation teachers including:
Jon Kabat-Zinn (I admire what he did since '79 and I want to re-take the Online MBSR/Mindfulness that is also free), Thupten Jinpa, Resmaa Menakem, Matthieu Ricard, Dan Goleman (Yey! EQ), Richie Davidson, Eve Ekman, Sebene Selassie, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, Mingyur Rinpoche, Laurie Santos (I won't pay to hear her talking and I'll never spend a minute more to engage in her theoretical mind frames, but you can access one of her Happiness/wellbeing courses on Coursera if it's still available, or from Yale online), and many more!
👣🌾 🌿 I might see you there!
Enjoy the time and the gifts inside!
