Go check out her post for the recipe. Today I made the cheese cake that @buckaroobaby shared. It was really simple to make and it turned out great!
I had to make a few substitutions. I wanted cheese cake TODAY, and grocery shopping is a real BEE. I’m not a cool homesteader with a goat (YET) either.
I didn’t have cream cheese or lemons. But I did have a bucket of pressed yogurt, and pears. So that’s what I used instead, and it still turned out all cheese cakey and delicious.
I was also whining about how the recipe suggests leaving it in the fridge overnight to chill. But @buckaroobaby assured me that a few hours would do just to make sure it’s set. We ate the shit out of that cake at snack time and then I took a picture of it in front of a pile of dirty dishes.
Ya’ll had your panties in a knot over how clean my kitchen was in my Pina Colada Peddler Pudding post. I thought I’d switch it up today and get a nice relatable messy countertop in the background.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!!! Are you sure that doesn't come out of my kitchen? It looks JUST like mine. We really need to talk about that goat. But more intriguing - pears? Really? Did that go in the cheesecake? Don't you love how yellow it is? I hate store bought eggs. So not real and not healthy
🤣 I know. This place is really lacking a goat. Ya a pear! I didn't haven't lemons, but I still wanted a little something something, so I chucked a pear into the food processor with the rest of the ingredients and everything turned out! I DO love how yellow it is! Store bought eggs are scary. They're like...white 😳
