Have you always wanted to make crispy fried fish just like the restaurants at home, but you thought this dish would be way too hard? Deep-fried fish is so simple to make at home if you read my recipe. It has become one of my favorites and this dish is on the must-try list. Made with egg and tempura flour for a crispy and delicious coating and rival fish from a restaurant! The fried batter shell around fish is delicate but with the most delightful crunch. You can have golden, crispy, perfectly cooked fried fish at your table in just over 25 minutes. Perfect as an appetizer or main course, you can do it even if you don't have much time. In this recipe, I used tilapia because it is sweet, lean, and inexpensive, has few bones and is delicious.

Scrape off the fish scales, remove the internal organs of the fish, I usually ask the salesperson to help me clean the fish then I just wash them. Prepare 3 bowls, one with tempura flour and beat the egg in another bowl . I use eggs helps the cornstarch & breadcrumb mixture stick to the fish. First, dip the fish into egg then into cornstarch , dip again into egg then into the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure the powder covers all sides of the fish. | Chuẩn bị 3 bát, một bát đựng bột bắp, một bát bột chiên xù và đánh trứng vào một bát khác. Heat up cooking oil to 300 to 320 degrees F. When cooking oil is hot, carefully drop fish into deep fryer pan. Fry the fish in batches so that none of the fish are touching when frying, fry fish until golden brown for about 3 minutes. Use a sieve to remove fish. Transfer fish fry onto a wire rack or paper towel tray to remove excess cooking oil. Serve fish with fish sauce (traditional), sweet chili sauce or mayonnaise sauce (not traditional but excellent). | Đun nóng dầu ăn lên 300 đến 320 độ F. Khi dầu ăn nóng, cẩn thận thả cá vào chảo sâu lòng. Chiên cá từng đợt sao cho cá không bị dính vào nhau, chiên cá đến khi chín vàng khoảng 3 phút. Sử dụng lưới lọc để vớt cá. Chuyển cá đã chiên lên giá treo hoặc khay khăn giấy để loại bỏ dầu ăn thừa. Ăn kèm cá với nước mắm (truyền thống), tương ớt ngọt hoặc sốt mayonnaise. |
