@fermentedphil - thank you for this wonderful post!! I love that you reminded me of several local herbs, which is happening more and more often on Hive these days! I love that before I go into a laborious search mode, I can serendipitously scroll into a sharing like this, which reminds me that the plants directly below my Via are a powerhouse of nutriment and medicinal benefits... I'm excited to join up mental wisdom and visual knowledge, between my original culture of Scotland, and now being in Italy: amaranth and purslane in particular are things I've had in other contexts, but not had the English name, or the joined-up uses to hand in my brain, from having learned about the plants in childhood. It's a brilliant, life-full journey learning and relearning with you all here: I appreciate the company enormously!

What a wonderful comment/response! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.
And yes, Hive inspired me but also influenced me so much. Reading about others' use of herbs and then seeing what grows here, etc. It is such a reciprocal relationship. The more you learn the more you share and so on.
Oh I am so happy I can do this! As I am very new to the field (I think 5 years now) with no prior knowledge, I feel I am breaking boundaries that other's have not yet. As in the case of mixing these herbs and using it in different dishes. We are creatures of habit and sometimes people do not like to think beyond the box, and I like to break the boxes! (Sometimes I do not succeed haha, but with failure, we learn right).
Thank you so much for stopping by. Stay safe.
