I was out of ideas regarding the type of food that I wanted to eat for this lunch so I went to a place that I think will surely provide me with options that I’m okay with.
Nowadays, access to food is so much easier compared to a decade before. Aside from the fact that there are plenty of restaurants and food places to choose from, the social media apps made it easier to find these places too. Whenever I’m out of ideas, I can simply Google or check through my social apps about the places that are trending. From there I can decide on the suggestions of others.
One of the best places that I discovered recently is Serangoon Garden Food Centre which is in the Serangoon area. The location is quite far from my house, so I need to ride the MRT to get there. It would take around 30 to 40 minutes before I reach the place which I’m okay with because the quality of food and the variety of the food stalls is worth it.
For this lunch, I ordered Minced Meat noodle from Seng Kee, then I got the Soya milk drink, and then I bought a chocolate chip muffin from Ah Tas Bakery.

The Minced Meat Noodle dish is one of the popular dish here in Singapore that can be found in almost every hawker centre in the country. It’s very fast fast to prepare which takes around 5 minutes to cook the noodles and assemble everything in a bowl. Of course, the skill of the chef is a big factor as well.
The version of the noodles that I order is Mee Pok which is the flat and curly type.
It’s time for dessert! I got this muffin from Ah Tas Bakery. The name of the bakery is a clever one! “Ahtas” is a local word that means “fancy” and by looking at the pastries and muffins that they display, it’s indeed fancy!
The Serangoon Garden food center is a place that I would label as Foodie’s haven. This place have a variety of stalls that even the largest food centers can’t match.
I find myself always eager to come back to this place and try the other food the other stalls offer. See you soon!

The type of noodles is new thing for me. What's the Ingredients for the noodles?
I’m not bery familiar with the way it’s made but what I know is that Mee Pok is an egg noodle. And over here in Singapore, I heard that they add a bit of curry powder which gives it a slightly brighter yellow color compared to the traditional egg noodle 😅.
Hmm or maybe turmeric 😅 flat noodles that I eat just rice flour noodles
I think that's possible, turmeric powder could be a good ingredient to add for aroma & color 😋

I like the combination of your lunch and I am particularly interested in minced meat noodles with mushroom I am sure it is good tasting.
