You like your food to be spicy!? Check out my special home made chili paste - Another easy and yummy recipe to always have in the fridge at home!

Greetings of the day Hive!

I hope you are having a great start of this new week!

It is always so nice to write some long detailed recipe posts and today I am here for that...

I have a very easy and yummy recipe to share with all those who love having some chili paste on the side when eating...

Having a tasty and spicy chili paste on the side is always so nice, isn't it friends!? And these days they are so expensive to buy and does not taste that good...so let's go for my own created recipe of a chili paste...

And for that we will need a lot of chilies...

More green ones than red please.

And yes...this spicy chili paste that we will make is for vegetarians too!

First we will clean the chilies...

Take off the small branches and wash the chilies well with running water.

The rest of the ingredients :

  • Green Apple
  • Lemon Confit (Recipe on my blog!)
  • Starfruits
  • Garlic

And the cleaned and washed chilies!

For the seasoning it will be salt, some lemon juice and little oil.

Cut all the ingredients in small pieces except the chilies!

This will help make the paste much quicker when put in the food processor!

Place them all in a food processor and blend till puree

Easy steps for this recipe...

Simply place all the ingredients and blend on medium speed until you have a fine paste of chili!

I put in small quantities to start the blending and then add on the rest of the ingredients...

The below photo is when I put in the red chilies, the color changed to green when I added the green ones in!

Ready...

This is the consistency we are looking at...not liquid and not too thick!

Season with salt, lemon juice and little olive oil before enjoying it!

This chili paste is so easy to make and will surely uplift your meal if you like spicy foods of course.

By the way, you can replace/add on other fruits like : Pineapple / Green Mangoes / Pear Apple

Infact any fruits with an acidic taste and texture like apple/pineapple can work in this recipe.

This chili paste can stay over 15 days in simply a bowl in the chiller at 3-5 degrees Celcius and if in an air tight container, then can go up to a month!

The tip is to not season it when storing...season only when eating the quantity you need!

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed it!

So do you like your food to be spicy!?

Best Regards!
