Chicken Chaap is a portion of very popular street food in the cities of Bangladesh throughout the year, and it is deserving! Chicken Chaap is a rich traditional Mughlai preparation. It is best accompanied by Indian Naan and Paratha. Usually, most of our local restaurants serve this food. But if you are looking for the best taste then it's better to visit 'Mollika Snacks'.
This was not my first time in this restaurant. But to be honest, I believe their quality declined. The food didn't feel like before though they have done a lot of renovation work and improved the decor of the restaurant.
Let me share my experience with some photos.
It used to be my go-to place whenever I had to visit the nearby city corporation market. The crowded place you are seeing from the window is the market. But looks like I have to think about other options for now!
The Chaap was so dry, I couldn't finish it. But the Paratha was good. We used to love the cucumber salsa that comes with the platter. But that also tasted very flat this time.
We also ordered some potato fries and soft drinks. The fries were the same as before. It's not like KFC or Mc style fries but local deep-fried potatoes. I love having it with their homemade mayonnaise and spicy sauce.
This is what the place looks like. Not too fancy but a very local type.
I have reviewed this restaurant before, you can see Here. The food and the interior used to be a lot different from now.
I'm not sure if it's because of their declined food quality or what but seems like they have lost their popularity. A few years back, it was a popular place for the locals, it used to be too crossed to even get a table. But now it's very different.
Mollika Snacks is serving for more than 50 years. So seeing its current status shocked me. I would love to see how it used to be before; a very lively place with crowded tables and good food.

In Argentina we are big consumers of chicken, although this recipe is not known here.

I know, chicken is the favorite food over there. This is kind of a grilled chicken but a bit different.
The dish is still better than most of the restaurant although it's not 10/10 like before.

Reducing the quality of food is not a good idea!👎
Yes, it will reduce their number of customers.
Maybe, the ingredients got costly, so they decided to shrink the recipe to accommodate the pricing.
Plus, you mentioned they recently improved their decor, so maybe, they ran out of cash as a result of that.
Or maybe, the chef resigned and they have someone new
