Hello everyone
A short report from the last trip to Uzbekistan!
Uzbek pilaf is a traditional dish from Uzbekistan, a country in Central Asia. It is made with rice, meat, and a variety of spices and seasonings, which give it its unique flavor. The ingredients and method of cooking can vary depending on the region or individual cook, but the dish is generally prepared by cooking the rice and meat together in a pot with broth, onions, and a mix of spices such as cumin, coriander, and black pepper. The result is a flavorful and satisfying meal that is enjoyed by many people in Uzbekistan and around the world.
The Central Asian pilaf Center is the best place for visitors and residents of Tashkent. This is a huge hall and a terrace for 400 tables - only pilaf is cooked and served here. It was here that I tried Tashkent pilaf (for some reason they call it Wedding).
This is the best combination of meat, rice and vegetables!
I could give you a dozen recipes for cooking pilaf, but you will not succeed. I think it's all about the ingredients or there is some secret of cooking.
Delicious Pilaf, tea with lemon, flatbread, tomato and cucumber salad cost us 36,000 soums = 3.2$
In this photo there is also a pilaf, but it is called Samarkand - its homeland is Samarkand.
It differs in the variety of rice and the fact that the ingredients do not mix during cooking and you combine pilaf with the ingredients yourself.
My long trip to Thailand! (part 3 - Samarkand)
I couldn't remember the name of the next dish, but it sounds like "Veal neck in a tandoor"
The dish is cooked in a tandoor for 12 hours - it tastes like meat pate with delicious potatoes!
Uzbekistan is a country located in Central Asia with a long history and rich cultural heritage. As such, its cuisine has been influenced by a variety of different cultures over the centuries, including Persian, Russian, and Turkish. The food in Uzbekistan is known for its hearty, filling dishes, often made with lamb or beef, as well as a wide range of spices and herbs!
Some common dishes in Uzbek cuisine include plov (a rice dish cooked with meat and vegetables), shurpa (a hearty soup made with meat and vegetables), and samsa (meat-filled pastries). The cuisine also features a variety of breads, such as non (a round, flat bread) and patyr (a flaky, layered bread), as well as a range of delicious fruits and vegetables.
The road to Thailand will be long, but I will be there someday)
