Hi Everyone,
Oysters were still in season in Japan so it was no brainer to go and have another meal with oysters when it’s still nice and reasonably priced. The restaurant we chose was in a local suburb right near the station serving residents. The prices here are very ‘local’ and with tourists to be seen. I'm glad they had a very well-designed menu so we could order easily.
There were many choices on the menu. Our kids ordered 2 unagi rice with udon, I ordered a hot oyster prawn udon & hubby ordered an egg katsu don with udon. Hubby normally does the ordering because his spoken Japanese is much better than mine which I think I need to be less shy as I haven’t used my Japanese for many years and I rely on him so often when I’m out. Even our kids are picking up on how to order. They like to order water as it is the easiest to say.
The food came out very quickly. We were very impressed with the quality of the food here. Everything was in very decent size and the tastes were very homemade. We in particular liked the little cabinet of spices on the table, in case our dishes needed more tastes, we could add that ourselves. Hubby loves this as he tends to eat more heavy sauces.
The service here was very friendly even though the staff cannot speak English. The restaurant was very clean and tidy, a nice little spot to have a meal in the smaller suburbs. After lunch, we stopped by the 100 yen store and then headed home.
