This is actually an old idea in print fiction - choose your own ending. The reason it never succeeded is that it's unfulfilling. It's necessary for the readership or audience to get beyond the 'soap opera' focus on what happens next and get to the heart of the matter. Personally, I'd rather lucid dream and create my own reality--oh wait...I already do that. Maybe that's why I'm a writer, lol
