RE: TEACHING DEMONSTRATION: Passed or Redemo?

in Education5 months ago

While my student teaching or demonstration for K-12 coursework in the states was a bit different. I have to say that I am glad that I'm no longer going through it.

Even if it is stressful it will pay off in the long run.

Hello @bostonadventures! I would like to know about the teaching demonstration in the states. How's it?

It's stressful, yes, but it's part of our training.

Thank you for stopping by. ☺️

The approach really depends on what you plan to teach, the state you're in, and the age of the students. In special education, for instance, my focus was on demonstrating how to differentiate instruction for students with varying learning abilities and challenges. There were multiple times when my professors would come into the classroom to observe, and a few times when I needed to film myself. Thankfully, I had already been in a classroom the prior two years as an aide under a teacher who was prepping me to take of his position so it wasn't to bad for me.
