Do the vines need to be the same varieties?
or, can the white ones and the purple ones cross pollinate for fruit?
When planting Blueberries, I have learned that it is actually better to plant DIFFERENT varieties for better fruiting.

They need to be different varieties to fruit. Some plants are like that, others are self pollinating.
Hah yeah I learned about that my blueberries too.. I have two kinds, Powder Blue and Climax. And we get large harvests so think it works.
Doing the same for my cherry and apple trees. Having multiple cultivars and hoping it will make strong fruit.
