Thanks for posting this! I have passion fruit (liliko) that flowers but do not produce fruit. I've been looking for plants that encourage bees. Upvoted and reblogged 🥰
Ah no problem, nice.. passionfruit makes great flowers.. maybe one day yours will frit. I got to eat two last year that grew wild on my property. That flavor is quite unique but I liked it.
I make passion fruit butter which is delicious. One of my coconut trees is finally producing which attracts bees and there are several beekeepers around here, so hopefully they will work there way to me lilliko Vines.
Passionfruit butter sounds really nice. Would you consider sharing your recipe? My neighbour's often have surplus passionfruit this time of year. I'm keen to give it a go 😁

Wow.. the garden looks so beautiful and clean. I wonder what it'll take to keep it this way. Meanwhile I'm sorry about your dad and I wish him speedy recovery 🙏 ❤
Its pretty hardy so no you do not need to do much for it. Just once it grows big managing its vines can be alot of work.
Ah yeah the Hardy Kiwi, these are new plants to me. I just got about a half dozen of them. They are like normal sized kiwis but the hardy ones are smaller.
If you do get hardy kiwi make sure you get a good male to female ratio.
Do the vines need to be the same varieties?
or, can the white ones and the purple ones cross pollinate for fruit?
When planting Blueberries, I have learned that it is actually better to plant DIFFERENT varieties for better fruiting.
They need to be different varieties to fruit. Some plants are like that, others are self pollinating.
Hah yeah I learned about that my blueberries too.. I have two kinds, Powder Blue and Climax. And we get large harvests so think it works.
Doing the same for my cherry and apple trees. Having multiple cultivars and hoping it will make strong fruit.
this plant seems fascinating. I've never heard of it. I'll have to look into it more!
Ah nice, yeah it's quite the special plant. Not common around where I live do glad I found it online.

Hmm I did not mention my father in this post. You must he confusing it with someone elses.
Does your Akebia require much maintenance, beyond the optional pruning to contain it?
Also I'm wondering about the 'Hardy Kiwi'
Is that a hardy variety of the kiwi fruit tree? Or a different plant altogether?
