RE: Excerpts From My Struggles

in ecoTrain2 years ago

Sounds like you're the responsible member of the family supporting other people just as I am here on the other side of the pond.

I think sometimes we need to take stock of where things stand and create space to take care of ourselves for a change. It's tough to do so when people rely on you for the necessities of life when no one else in the family will pitch in and help.

I share your struggle in the financial and responsibility department although my health is fine. I'd be much better if there were others here willing to share the care for my terminal relative, but its me or nobody, and I'm not going to leave an elder to suffer alone. It's not my way.

So we shoulder the responsibility and make the correct moral choices knowing that somebody "up there" knows what we're doing and is taking note of it. I'm glad to see that you plan to look after your health because the one thing we have a limited amount of in life is time.

So set aside some and take time for you. Peace.

A whole lot of responsibilities and the thoughts of them alone overwhelms me.
This is the reason why I want to go away and try to see if I could desist or reduce the pressure of these responsibilities on me.
It's totally killing. But like you said, I'm the type that's used to catering for all asundry, even at my own expenses.
I enjoyed doing it while I was financially bouyant, but a time comes in one's life where the money isn't there like it used to.

It's quite difficult when there's more to take care of but the resources is just too little to do anything.

Thanks for all your advice, I'm taking my time to sort out everything.
