Hope; The Other Side Which We Probably Have Failed to Acknowledge

Hope is a tool that can either motivate or actually dissuade or repress and in my experience so far, it's neither good nor bad. It depends on the circumstance through which it's undergoes, happens or takes place and sometimes being disappointed by the prospect of hope can be really difficult to recover from. Many people thinks that being deprived of hope is one of the most dangerous things in life but this isn't complete true. one of the most dangerous things about hope is being hopeful and being deprived of that chance to feel or see the end result of that hope being held. the other side of hope which many people do not know about is that it makes one careless and blind to the fact that there are other possible realities that can occur loosely apart from the one they've envisioned.

One of the many reasons why some people are considered to be pessimists is because they're afraid of hope and how it might disappoint them especially when every variable becomes uncontrollable and hope becomes the only factor that is supposed to come in. However pessimism sometimes might not really be pessimism to the core, I have seen a few cases where people put up a wall so that they won't be affected by things that affects the emotional side and because of this they shut down every feeling that brings hope or things that might seem unobtainable or not achievable but then, In reality no one should stay alive without hope because hypothetically it's that motivation built on nothing but necessary to survive in life. however we must understand that the concept of hope is not logical or reasonable and it only affect a sentimental or psychological aspect of us.

When we apply hope, sometimes to things that seems doable and obtainable it might end up not working out the way we want so how about for things that will seems or appear bogus, unobtainable and nearly impossible? It is true that nothing is impossible and also true that everything can be possible but then we are very flexible, we love change but it is very difficult to adapt to the process of change and this is one of the reasons why it is dangerous to be hopeful today and hopeless tomorrow. It is difficult to adapt to and the transition from being hopeful to hopeless and vice versa can be nearly impossible because it is totally traumatizing and can be difficult to recover from and this is of course how the greatest pessimists are made. Pessimists aren't born, they're made through horrific experiences that has gone on to totally rearranged their whole psychological essence.

Hope sometimes can mean playing your cards and hoping that unforeseen circumstances can have a favorable outcome. on the brighter side, it is that edge you have even when all odds are against you. We cannot overemphasize the reason why we need hope but then it's very erroneous to think that the result of having, imbibing or cultivating hope always comes out always positive. Like I said earlier, hope is a tool and the fact that positivity is the only thing that's associated with it is the reason why a lot of people do not know how hope in itself cripples a person who has held high hopes. Mind you, hope is different from faith because faith is rather more of a spiritual plane but of course it's not always the case.

In conclusion, having high hopes can fail us as much as it can raise us and this is a harsh reality. Having hopes in sizeable moderation is of course something we need to do. this post is not aimed at influencing pessimism to a higher percentage but to create awareness that the feeling of hope can break us because it's built on nothing that's got tangibility and because of this there is no certainty to the positivity it can bring to us especially when the outcome we expected ends up totally unachievable and we can only realise this when we go through a use case experience in our lives. Nevertheless we must understand that equilibrium should be key in anything we do because too much of high hopes and too little high hopes can of course unbalance the situation. Hope is good, a man can't survive without it, however it can kill itself and kill it's antecedents as well. Thank you for reading and have a great day.

This is an awesome study of hope! I've had my process with it over the years, mostly because of the country I'm in. It's possible to take it to the next level by embracing it fully, but it's always tough to get there. Great contribution, man!

It's always tough to get to the topmost level of hope. The reason why I wrote this post is because it somehow explains the concept of hope and the underlying issues that arises with it. In all honesty I also related years of my personal experience into this post and I'm glad it came out really nicely done. Thanks for the upvote and the support.

I am kind of that , and I see some people around me as well. I would say, we are making ourselves stronger this way - not to be interpreted as pessimism though.

Yeah, it should not be interested as pessimism. I believe sometimes we need to protect ourselves because irrespective of what we might think or feel, what others say or do would always infulence us. Thanks for the comment and support.
