What's not talked about Discord enough is how they plan on making money while providing a huge, resource hungry platform. They don't know, and they're hoping to sell to someone who does. There's a lot of data to be mined in their databases, for sure.

yes.. its weird how we all ended up there really... its not even that hard to make a decent chat system technically (relatively speaking of course)... and discords not even a good way to communicate.. none threaded etc make it a total pain to have many people chatting..
it is what it is.. i guess.. maybe one day we will see something better happen..
Voice communication was once popular in Steem's earlier days. That's what made Discord a popular option in the first place. I'm not sure if people still hang out in voice chats a lot or if it was just a fad.
i remeber steemit chat.. for some reason that never really picked up.. although it was a bit spammy.. voice chat in steem days.. totally missed that although im usually a bit shy of too much voice with people i dont know..
anyways.. im happy to just cut a lot of the noise out for now and peace out a bit! ;)
