This is interesting to read. Firstly how you were changed as a smoker by someone who dedicated his life with such goal to help people. Secondly, you were able to nurture yourself by studying the Bible. We understand more about God when we keep relationship with God and move closer to knowing Him more.

They assure that there are no coincidences, but causality or happy coincidences, as was the case of my encounter with the page "Smoking and Oxygen dependency" of Gustavo Flores, now deceased, who lived 6,000 kilometers away and helped me get rid of the habit of smoking, as he himself did and thousands of people whom he selflessly helped.
The first requirement is to want, because nobody can do it for you. Just support you and be present. The work must be done by oneself, but help will appear in some form, shape or form.
