Over the weekend, between striving to collect a few warmer outfits and honoring invitations received to birthday parties, there was a county-wide event called the 'Art Prowl'. I've seen the vehicles decorated with various painted scenes and sketches over the years, but never taken the time to seek out what it was. This was the 35th year of its existence. It also just so happened, that one of the artists featured on the prowl this year, was but a few doors away.

As you may notice in the first picture, there is a name inscribed on the piece of art I bought. The name is 'Dean Howard'. You might guess that Dean is a man, and I assumed the same thing, but 'tis false. She is actually Deanna Howard, taken the name 'Dean' to paint under to pay homage to her late grandfather. She herself, is going on 85 years old and has quite the achievement belt from her works. I've even seen a few in various places across town with several of those going for 5 figures at auctions. I feel I got this one at a bargain basement price.

These other two, @lunamoon and @khaldessi picked up. They are small mountainous pieces turned into magnets. The style is the same as the painting I bought. The main reason, is the 3d effect and upon querying why those ones were different from the rest, with the additional 'pop art', it was because they were done with her daughter. Dean painted the canvas and her girl added the third eye visibility. I hope your weekend was eventful and that you continue to REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, even when I'm jealous of Monet.
