I'm not sure exactly where Old Vehicle City is located, but when I searched for that name in RA, it came back with this: https://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/33278, which might also interest you & your fam. I also visited a very similar place when in Sweden, called Kyrkö Mosse; the main difference being all the cars were European models. Maybe someday I'll dig out those photos & share.
There are some fantastic offbeat sights in this country that I never would have found without that site. I think one is not too far from you - the Museum of Appalachia.
Car graveyards are awesome though, and I'm super glad you were able to fight and save this one! I will put it on my list of places to visit the next time I swing through.
