RE: Who am I? | My Journey of Self Discovery so far and What I Figth for |

in Ladies of Hive β€’ 3 years ago

I almost had a heart attack when I woke up this morning yes 🀣 🀣 still not sure how to react to this, I wasn't really excepting this kind of reaction! And I know this won't happen all the time I make a post (thank you for the advanced warning πŸ˜‰)

But in case you take criticism to heart (as your posts shows you are a deeply sensitive person like me) then let me remind you, before I disappear for the night that I adore your post and you. Even from the other side of the world having never hugged you. That is all πŸ˜‰πŸ€—πŸ˜˜

Not taken to heart at all! I love constructive feedback and I knew gramatical and typing errors would be a possibility since I'm not used at all to write in English (my native languague is Portuguese).
The sensitive part of me just makes me sometimes get to caught up in what I did wrong and obsess a little bit instead of seeing my strenghs and evolution πŸ˜† (but luckily not the typing errors)

But as you reminded before It's not about making it perfect so I'm here to learn along the way (note to self - I switch a lot the words here/where/were πŸ˜…)

Could you be so kind to point out here I made those typing errors so I can correct them? πŸ™

Thank you for your time reading my intro post and for you continuous guidance 😘

Morning sweetheart. I'm not surprised you felt like you were having a heart attack. It's a bit shock for sure. Just be gentle with yourself like you would one of your own patients/clients when they have a big surprise. And you don't need to make it mean anything; it is what is and it can just be unexpected/wonderful/strange/awesome πŸ˜€πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜…

Glad you can take constructive criticism. Please also expect the same from me; you are a fast learner so if you spot things you can see that I could fix, please feel free to tell me.

As for your typing errors, there are probably 20(?) or so over the whole post, so I would take me ages to point them out for you. My suggestion (since your English is awesome) just slowly re-read your post (starting with the title) and look for mistakes. I think you'll naturally find most of them.

And so many people who have English as a second (or third or forth!) language also write their posts directly into English, complete with mistakes they never see and never fix. For me, as a native English speaker, if I can understand the point they're making and still enjoy what I'm reading it's good enough. And I'm always in awe (of you and others) as I can currently only write in one language!!!!!!

Hugs πŸ€—

After reading your comment, I confirmed on your profile that you're an Online Educator! I was getting a feeling you had the talent to be able to encourage other people while demanding a job well done πŸ˜„

I say this because the best teachers I had growing up were the most demanding but loving and understanding ones. They always made me want to make them proud and at the end of the paper/exam in question I felt proud of myself! Thank you for reminding me of that 😍

In relation to typing errors I have an apology to ask. Only after reading what I've wrote I realized it was an unreasonable thing to ask πŸ˜…! But I want to let you know I am fully committed to remembering to re-read my texts slowly πŸ™ So far I identified 4 errors (only 16 -ish to go! 🀞)

Please feel free to comment my posts or anything I write if you see any typing or spelling errors! I'm sure with time I will make a lot less and eventually none at all (aiming high πŸ’ͺ)

πŸ€—πŸ€—Love Hugs! I'm also a hugs personπŸ€—πŸ€—

(note to self - re-read your comment slowly. And this note!)

Hehe πŸ˜ƒ I shall take this comment as one big compliment πŸ˜‰

Excellent, excellent. Thank you. And got it! 😝😊😎

And since I just learned how to add GIFs (due to an excellent post by another cheerleading Hivian @samsmith1971), here's a hug!
