Age Affords Some Comfort Knowing Where You Come From
Witnessing the beauty in a fallen blossom does leave us pondering how it found it's way here, no tree in sight similar. As in to life we know what we had, it takes constructive effort to know how to rebuild going forward.
Egyptian goose swimming as a family unit today, the young grow eventually flying off having families of their own, it something life teaches us, nothing is permanent, change happens, as it should.
Baby swallows sitting above wing flapping every time a mother comes into view, that is what parenting is about feeding, grooming the young to insure a future for the next generation.
Most unusual seeing a local gecko out in the daylight, warming up, perhaps food is available that I am unable to see at a glance. Normally they are active a night finding mosquito or something that settles long enough for them to eat.
A day before the rain arrived the rain lily started to appear, life tells us here in Africa when rains will come, over time one learns to read natures signs, believe me they are never wrong.
Vervet monkey with exceptionally young baby taking short relief from the harsh sunlight sitting checking surroundings before the little one may escape from a tight hold. Be vigilant of children around your neighbourhood, too many go missing today, sold into slavery, sex trade, pedophile networking it is rife throughout many countries!
Roses still attached to the stem, fading as life cycle slowly comes to an end, do they enjoy the rain for one last time, feeling the water from above wash them as much as we do after a long hot day taking a shower?
Rain lily now open after nightfall of rain I will show many more as they will fill the garden with joyful colour, an insect clambering out of a blossom that will only live for a day maybe two, consider how quick life is some enjoy a little longer, some send their message out..., then die off soon after.
Reflections of life that teaches us in most obscure ways, no shouting or hidings simply learning by example those small snippets of information that comes our way over a lifetime, circle of life through some random photography.
One day the bench another will enjoy, today looking over the week of changes happening. Now wishing all a wonderful Sunday make it sublime in every way you able whether young or old'er....

Beautiful photos Joan, a sublime Sunday indeed. All this rain is so lovely and cooling, but one can almost see the grass growing in front of your eyes, everything is so lush and green. I especially love the photos of the Egyptian geese and the Swallows! The day has gone by in a flash.
Always enjoy the cooler rain weather, grass is growing as you watch it. Birds are growing quickly getting ready to move from parents, cycle almost over with those breeding at the moment.

An insightful post Joan. I love the monkey and baby. So true the dangers to children, I can’t believe how evil some people are and the harm done to the innocent. It angered me when In think of it and want justice served more than a slap on the wrist.

Difficult keeping ones mind clear of anger with evil calamity all around. What I know/say is I am grateful our parents who fought in the war never witnessed this madness.

Hibiscus 'Giant Red' (I think) the size of my hand or small dinner plate, possibly brought in via one of the wedding parties held in the park.
