RE: 📽My Very First Movie || Or So My Memory Tells Me🎬

in Ladies of Hive4 years ago

I don't recall the first movie I ever saw on the big screen. I do recall dressing up for the movie theater because it was a fund-raiser premier for my mother's Ladies' Club.

It is so funny how many kids and adults alike sometimes think watching movies in the theater without popcorn and a drink "feels" incomplete, although it shouldn't be. For sure it becomes a burden for parents to budget-in popcorn and a drink (and potentially foods of minimal nutritional value) for their kids to watch a movie in the theater.

It was only when I was in my junior year in high school that I realized why my parents insisted that we don't eat inside the theater. Perhaps I should write about it in a future article!

Thank you for sharing your first movie experience, and your fun time with your Dad!

Have a lovely week ahead, @kaerpediem, and take care. 🥰🌺🤙

It's true, now that you mention it
In fact, our movie nights at home when the kids were younger did have to have something to eat while they watch. I used to get them pizza.

I would like to read the story of why your parents didn't encourage you eating inside a theatre...

Well, I have been tardy and a whole week late to reply and here we are at the start of another week. You have a fabulous one 🤗
