I'm glad you finally discovered them, they taste great don't they? Empanadas are awesome, and I l like the Jamaican version because they have a nice spicy kick to them. I miss living the Caribbean, it was such a fun place !
Your friend's parents came from two great cities, I lived in Santiago, Chile for quite some time, and Bogata is a really pretty place as well! A couple cities I wouldn't mind seeing again in the not too distant future!

All beautiful parts of the world! I love South America, it's a great place. Venezuela was wonderful back in the nineties, but not safe for me as an American to travel there anymore sadly. If you have a chance the Caribbean is wonderful place, so much to see and do!
