Someone else said the same thing the other day.
They're getting more lenient with the requirements...
the watch hours is the real struggle to meet that is what I heard from youtubers I follow and some have given up 🤑
Looks like YouTube is playing hard on this.
They realised that the different between 1k of subs and 5k of subs was too far so they lowered it to get more videos out there to be monetized and make themselves money
I am not quite sure, but the videos are still monetized. You just don't get your cut if you don't fulfil the requirements.
Does that apply to everyone or just your account? If it applies to everyone it might make more people want to start a channel.
