I disagree because I don't hate AI, I use them daily for many things, and even so, I believe that what he said in the past fits perfectly with what is happening now. And just like me, there are many other people who don't hate AI, and think the same way.

The problem is that isn't his opinion about this, but the work that was presented to him at that moment. His opinion is not about AI in general but about AI that was presented to him.
He didn't make any comments or make his opinion known about AI today.
At this point, I think it's a matter of interpretation.
If you have to interpret it, it proves that it isn't clear :)
Do you think Elon Musk's salute when Trump won was a Nazi salute or not? Think about this for a few seconds... And now tell me, is it true that if you have to interpret something, it means it is not clear?
There is nothing to interpret there, it was the Nazi Salute. For interpretation there needs to be ambiguity, there is no ambiguity with Elon's action.
That's the thing. Many people around the world interpreted it as just a "power salute", a Roman salute, and even compared it to what other leaders had done, who were not Nazis or had Nazi intentions. For them, this was also clear...
It's just an example of how complex I find this discussion about interpretation.
As I said there is nothing to interpret, Roman Salute and Nazi Salute are both the same thing used by fascists. There is no interpretation of it any other way in the modern day.
That excuse would only fool people who don't know what the Roman Salute is, and it has done its job.
