Oh. That's brilliant! I love tales from other cultures. If that happened in the UK the most likelly response would be "Ugh. Someone left their tissues". Followed by an attempt to push them as far away as possible without touching them. 😂

What we do is to leave the tissue (the whole thing) on the table to let people know that the table is already reserved.

Some dislike it but it has become a common practice 😅.

How do you reserve table in UK? (Especially when you don’t have anyone with you. )

You can't unless you book in advance which I doubt many people would do unless it was a planned meal out. If there are no tables we queue and the greeter usually tells you how long it is before there's likely to be a table free.

True. We do the same for proper restaurants.

But for food courts or public food centres where nobody is managing, this is the only way otherwise you may end up without a table. 😅

Exactly same with my country, they subtly push the tissue away as if someone left it there by accident, and if you come claiming you were there, they would say they didn't see anyone when they came 😂
