I'm wanting to make a webpage/tool that'll fetch posts made by negative rep accounts order them by closest to payout so I have a nice easy way to downvote negative rep accounts.
Negative rep = no rewards imo.
Nice one. Can you include all accounts that are under rep 25. There's a big farm that I haven't DV to negative rep yet, they're still in single digits

Sounds a bit harsh for new comers. Lots of people get no rewards even though they've written a good post.
This is for users with negative rep or under 25 rep, which means they must have been downvoted for abuse.
All users start off with rep 25 and it's very easy to get over 30 or even 40 with just a few upvotes. If they drop below 25, there must be a reason for it
That makes more sense. I misunderstood the "negative rep = no rewards" bit. I though they were saying that they were going to treat posts with no rewards as though they had negative rep and would therefore get a downvote. 😂

There's a lot of fake accounts around milking rewards. That's what we need to get rid of
Yeah. I've noticed alot of what looks like spam accounts. At least they look that way. Looks like they've resurrected since many of them are from 2017/18. They have reps of >25 though so maybe that's a different issue. WOuld be great to get rid of the fake ones though.

It was an oddly calm ocean. The waves were not crashing so much as rolling in, creating that glassy effect.
At first glance I thought it was ice.
But you are on a beach.
I miss a beach, I haven't been to one in 6 years.
The waves had interesting textures that day. They looked icy as you say. The beach always relaxes me. The water is very cold though, so it's not great for swimming.
I can even imagine that, the water is very cold at that moment hahaha...

Internal market. I believe people can help hold the price pegged by day-trading, and making a bit of profit, rather than having HBD Stabilizer around.
Whoever is into trading, or just things trading might be their thing, should give it a s thot.
IM is hugely underestimated.
I don't think I have the knowledge to teach someone how to use Hive's internal market or any order book for that matter. I'll happily read some of your posts if you'd like to share some knowledge about trading, maybe I'll feel confident enough to make a tutorial at some point.
I didn't mean a trading tutorial, just promoting the market as a tool. As far as I know, it's far from being complex trading plaform, but you can easily, and with no risk test if you have the traits and wits to become a trader. Where else can you start feeless day-trading with like one or two dollars only?

I really like the implemented 'translate' button in snaps, but would it be possible to automatically translate the snaps for me when it detects a non-english snap. It would save me a couple of clicks and precious time 😂
Not possible for a couple technical/cost related reasons:
Translation takes time, so the snap will be not visible for a couple seconds
It's not free, so we prefer to avoid additional costs if the user is not really interested but just stumbled randomly on the snap

I just realized that some people might want to do the translation the other way around. Maybe it could be a default setting in your profile or something.
I don't know how difficult this would be to implement though.

Such a good marketing strategy that may only work here in Singapore: a new restaurant giving away tissues with their name and location as a way to promote their place. Better than leaflets or brochures, because nobody rejects tissues being given out here! What if Hive?

From the packaging and feel of it when it was handed to me.
And pocket tissues here is so essential here 😅. We use it to clean / wipe everything and we use it to reserve tables at food courts. 😂

What we do is to leave the tissue (the whole thing) on the table to let people know that the table is already reserved.
Some dislike it but it has become a common practice 😅.

You can't unless you book in advance which I doubt many people would do unless it was a planned meal out. If there are no tables we queue and the greeter usually tells you how long it is before there's likely to be a table free.
True. We do the same for proper restaurants.
But for food courts or public food centres where nobody is managing, this is the only way otherwise you may end up without a table. 😅
Exactly same with my country, they subtly push the tissue away as if someone left it there by accident, and if you come claiming you were there, they would say they didn't see anyone when they came 😂

I think that would work, but is it expensive? I mean stickers are definitely more cost effective but you can't really just stick them anywhere.
That’s something I was curious about earlier. My guess is that it might cause from $0.50 to $1 per piece because the packaging is custom made and If I’ll order, it may not meet the minimum qty that a supplier will require. So they may charge me premium price.
What about shoppee? I am sure something is there because for hive merch, that's where I mostly try to find sellers and where I can find a reasonable sticker like 1$ for 40 pcs or more sometimes, depeneding on the size. Over here for that tissues, it costs $0.033/piece
Woah I need to check shoppee in that case. Maybe there are cheaper options there that can do tissue with custom made packaging design.

These Hive tissues (if ever) has to be given to people who are aware of crypto & blockchain to actually get them to check on Hive.

Leaflets and flyers handed to passersby end up in trash bins. I think no one really keeps a flyer unless it has something very special in it.

I just don’t bring leaflets home. I throw it as soon as I see a bin.
If I’m to hand someone to promote a product it has to be something that they will hold longer for at least a day for them to check it out.
Same with me. I've had instances where I had to politely decline flyers knowing I would discard them anyway.
Yeah. Sometimes, it’s better to simply turn down since it’s not something I’m not interested with.
Though sometimes I will take just to make the one distributing it feel better (especially when I noticed that people are ignoring them 😅)

Totally agree with you man. We have this amazing platform that many people don’t even know about. I think we just need to find a way to make it known to others too.

Yes, it's true, I was talking to a friend a few days ago about Hive.
It made it a little easier, as he already knows what crypto is like, so now I'm waiting to see if he'll actually come here.
Any way of promoting HIVE is very valid.
That’s actually a very good way of promoting Hive, a personal interaction with the invitee. In that way, there’s a good chance of on boarding people. It may not be scalable but it’s very effective.
